CanadaReach

CanadaReach is a new, multi-sourced, compiled database of 9 million households for mail- and phone-based consumer marketing campaigns. Offering the highest coverage rate in Canada, it focuses on where prospective customers are now and includes the names, addresses and home phone numbers of Canadian households. Every record has a name and a telephone number, and 95 percent of records have a postal code, with 56 percent of the file being mailable. In addition, CanadaReach can be fully linked to a range of characteristics, including demographics, cultural diversity, geography, leisure activities, media preferences and PRIZM5 segments.

CanadaReach can be used in conjunction with other EA tools for marketers to identify prospects to contact by telephone or direct mail. The variables within the CanadaReach database (dwelling type, mailing status and gender) are identified at the individual record level.

In addition to prospecting, clients can use the data to update their customer records or append information missing from those records. By matching customer records to the CanadaReach file, clients can supplement their identity verification and fraud prevention programs.

CanadaReach can be linked to PRIZM5, EA’s segmentation system, along with other EA datasets, such as SocialValues, HouseholdSpend and WealthScapes, for understanding the mindset, household spending and financial behaviour of prospective customers.

CanadaReach-Movers

The CanadaReach Movers database contains households that have been identified as new records in CanadaReach, indicating the likelihood that these households have recently moved. The database allows marketers to identify households for mail- or phone-based target marketing. The number of records varies from 40,000 to 140,000 per month, with the highest level of activity occurring in the summer months due in part to Quebec’s Moving Day, which traditionally coincides with Canada Day (July 1).

Because households make a number of purchase decisions when completing a move, this file is ideal for marketers seeking to target households for home services, financial services, and large-ticket purchases that are often associated with establishing a new home. New households may need to identify local area shopping centres, restaurants, personal services such as hairdressers and entertainment venues in their new communities. Businesses that are quick to establish relationships with these new customers often retain them as they develop new consumer habits.

In addition to prospecting, the data can be used to update customer records or append information missing from customer records, so that clients can be alerted to their customers’ latest addresses.

The CanadaReach Movers database can also be linked to PRIZM5, EA’s segmentation system, along with other EA datasets, such as SocialValues, HouseholdSpend and WealthScapes for understanding the mindset, household spending and financial behaviour of those who have recently moved.

CanadaReach Pre-Movers

CanadaReach Pre-Movers is a compiled file of residential real estate listings in Canada indicating households that are highly likely to be moving in the near future. The records contain complete addresses and various attributes about the property, such as structural type, lot size, number of bedrooms and other characteristics.

When used with CanadaReach, EA’s file of telephone directory listings, the two datasets can be compared and, wherever there is an address match, the names and telephone numbers associated with the address in CanadaReach can be appended to the Pre-Movers file for use in both mail- and phone-based marketing initiatives. Tests have indicated about a 30 percent match rate between CanadaReach and the Pre-Movers file.

Orange People

By matching the CanadaReach Pre-Movers to their own customer addresses database, clients can identify who among their customers may be moving and should be targeted for customer retention programs. The file helps clients identify opportunities to engage with customers regarding mortgages, telephony, insurance and other services associated with household moves.
